Frances Gaskin Children's Refuge

Every visitor walks away saying the same things: "The kids at Frances Gaskin are different. They're so well behaved, so interactive! You can tell they're loved." It's true: while this is certainly not the nicest orphanage in Liberia, it's plain to see that the 30 children here are a family.

Frances Gaskin Children's Refuge was founded by Emmanuel and Evelyn Mars in memory of Emmanuel's grandmother, and immediately took in dozens of war orphans and children temporarily separated by the civil war.

Child Development: Demonstrating Christ's love

Orphan Relief and Rescue's Child Development Program (CDP) seeks to fill the spiritual, emotional, and educational gaps in a child's life--everything from after-school tutoring to Bible studies to a daily diet of just plain fun.

Orphan Relief and Rescue's full-time staff is continually developing fresh, culturally appropriate lessons and activities to engage the kids and encourage them to reach their potential. Programs are delivered by international and local staff that have known the kids for years.

We need your help to keep up the great work! CDP programs require relatively few resources for such a huge impact, but we still need $2400 to run CDP at Frances Gaskin Children's Refuge for the year.

Will you help? Please start today and open doors for these children to change their circumstances, and their entire country's. Click below to give, and don't stop there--spread the word!

Please note: donations through this page will automatically be designated to this project. To donate elsewhere on the site, be sure to write "CDP at Frances Gaskin" in the description field.

You're also encouraged to make your gift monthly -- just let us know and we'll set up a hassle-free monthly payment.
