Life for an orphaned or abandoned child in Liberia or Benin, West Africa is a daily struggle to survive. These children have had their worlds turned upside down.

Liberia has been devastated by a 14-year civil war that left families destroyed and local infrastructure in ruins. Benin, the birthplace of voodoo and a hive of child trafficking, is a nightmare for orphans. Children are used as domestic servants in the homes of relatives and strangers. There is simply no value for the life of a child.

While hundreds upon hundreds of children have been rescued and placed into orphanages, the resources to care for them are scarce. But the cycle of poverty doesn't need to continue. For the cost of a few coffees a month, the lives of these children can be profoundly improved.

Your sponsorship of just $35 per month will provide a child with daily food, routine healthcare, an education, and afterschool programs. Your child will also have the opportunity to learn about God and His life-changing love.

How does it work?

According to your preferences, you will be matched with a boy or a girl in Liberia or Benin.  You will receive a picture of your sponsored child, along with some basic information about him or her. You will be able to write to your child twice a year, and will receive letters in return. You will be kept informed about his or her progress and other upcoming projects in that orphanage.

Your support goes directly to the needs of your sponsored child and his or her orphanage. Funds will be administered by our capable and loving staff living in the country and working with the orphanages on a daily basis.
